Auditions for I Never Saw It Coming
I NEVER SAW IT COMING
By Doug Grissom
In 1997, award-winning playwright and UVA professor Doug Grissom wrote I NEVER SAW IT COMING for a teen peer education group confronting the issues of dating and sexual violence. Live Arts believes that now is the time to reinvent and re-energize this landmark play and bring it to our stage, directed by Denise Stewart.
We would like to invite all theatre-makers – actors, writers, techies, and student activists – to become a part of this exciting opportunity to create theatre for social change.
Live Arts welcomes teens to join the project as a performer or a discussion leader. If you have an interest in helping create healthy relationships among your peers, there is a place for you in this company. Workshops will be offered to participants that include training on the subject matter, how to lead group discussions, and how to provide crisis intervention.
