IN THE SCENE, BEHIND THE SCENES: Techniques in Experimental Film and Theatre (Ages 10 to 13)
Light House Studio and Live Arts present IN THE SCENE, BEHIND THE SCENES: Techniques in Experimental Film and Theatre, our 2019 Spring Break Camp. In this week-long workshop, young filmmakers will be introduced to the crafts of on-camera performance and visual storytelling with a non-traditional or experimental bent. Live Arts Instructor Shandoah Goldman has extensive experience creating dance-theatre performance outside of the traditional box of the theater. Light House Studio instructor Aaron McGinnis brings a comprehensive knowledge of unusual and experimental film-making techniques. Young artists in the camp will spend about half of the workshop time creating performances and the other half learning camera operation and film-making and editing techniques. Along the way, they’ll create a short film or series of films which will be presented on Friday 4/5 at 2:30pm at Light House Studio at Vinegar Hill Theatre.
