The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression & Ting Presents
FIGHT NIGHT
originally created by Ontroerend Goed & The Border Project in co-production with Drum Theatre Plymouth, Vooruit & Richard Jordan Productions Ltd.
directed by Larry Goldstein
Papa Joslyn visited Executive Director (and son) Matt this past summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, where they saw the world premiere production of Fight Night. Instead of explaining the play, we asked him to tell you about the experience in his own words:
“Fight Night is intellectually stimulating, provocative, and highly entertaining. The audience participates by multiple rounds of voting using provided hand held transmitters. Each performance is unique and is led by the outcomes of each vote. This must present a challenge to the five actors (candidates?), although one senses a coordinated message from the collective. This is a must see performance that will challenge your belief in the “majority rules” principle in contemporary democracy.” -Don Joslyn
