Kate Leslie is the Director of Sports Club Operations & Events at Boar’s Head Resort. She moved from New York City to Charlottesville in late 2020. Prior to beginning a career in sports and hospitality, she had a robust career in the performing arts and event management. Her classical ballet training and education at SUNY Purchase developed into a career as a dancer, lighting designer, stage manager and musical theater performer. Between national tours and regional theater contracts, Kate found a home at Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation for ten years in various production positions. Prior to relocating to Charlottesville, she managed events and festivals for four years at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. She has two toddlers at home and loves exposing them to the arts daily.
