Leah Donahue

Leah Donahue is a communications and marketing professional, entrepreneur and active member of the Charlottesville community. Throughout her career, she has led business development and marketing initiatives for organizations ranging from media and public affairs firms to small businesses she founded and operated.

Most recently, she built two specialized gift boutiques from the ground up, Brigid & Bess in Charlottesville and Boxwood in Alexandria, Virginia. Prior to that, she served as Managing Director of Business Development for Purple Strategies, a leading corporate reputation management firm. She began her career more than two decades ago as a deputy press secretary for both a U.S. Senator and a presidential candidate.

Leah currently serves on the Arts Boosters Advisory Committee at St. Anne's-Belfield School, where she supports arts education and programming. A longtime supporter of the arts, she believes creative expression strengthens communities and enriches everyday life. When she isn't volunteering, managing family logistics or championing local arts initiatives, she can often be found attempting to make pottery at City Clay with enthusiasm that frequently exceeds talent.

Leah lives in Charlottesville with her husband and two children and is honored to support the mission of Live Arts.
