We are honored to announce that Live Arts received one of only five Dominion Energy Foundation arts education grants this year for our inclusive, skill-building approach to summer camps, under the leadership of Education Director Ti Ames. Annual Dominion Energy ArtStars Awards provide funding for organizations in Virginia that successfully combine arts and education in their community.
Live Arts was recognized the Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) Impact Celebration and awards ceremony along with the four other 2023 ArtStars recipients: Sensory Theatre Endless Possibilities in Fredericksburg, Soundscapes in Newport News, Oakwood Arts in Richmond, and Depot Artists Association in Abingdon. The impact celebration on January 23, 2023 took place at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in Richmond, and welcomed representatives from the National Endowment for the Arts, VCA, VMFA, Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, The Compass Group, and more.
