LIVE ARTS SEEKS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors of Live Arts is seeking an experienced executive director to lead this extraordinary volunteer-powered theater into the next decade.

The search was prompted by the recently announced retirement of Executive Director Anne Hunter, who will be stepping down June 30 after deftly leading this $1.1 million nonprofit through the pandemic. Hunter plans to stay in the area and join the ranks of Live Arts’ 1,200-strong volunteer corps.

Under the direction of the Board, the executive director is responsible for the overall success and viability of the theater. Leading a team of 11 full-time and part-time employees, the executive director is charged with the day-to-day management of the organization, advancing its mission and vision, ensuring its long-term fiscal health, and executing the priorities in its strategic plan. The executive director works closely with Artistic Director Susan E. Evans, who oversees the creative and production aspects of the organization and reports to the executive director. A complete position description is available on the Live Arts website at livearts.org

This is a full-time, on-site position which offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Interested applicants should send a current resume and cover letter to jobs@livearts.org. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
