Jennifer Newell grew up in Virginia, where her love for theater was born, attending performances at The National, Arena Stage, Ford’s Theatre, Kennedy Center, and community theaters. Her career has spanned from Broadway performer (violinist on Beauty and the Beast) to nonprofit leader (Brooklyn Conservatory of Music) to development professional (University of Virginia) to higher education executive (Strayer University). Through it all, her love of the arts and theater has remained steadfast. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester and a MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University.
