Sarah Cain

Sarah Ashley Cain (she/they) is a queer, non-binary theater artist and producer originally from Virginia. They are currently the Director of Artistic Producing at Baltimore Center Stage, where they oversee the producing, general management, artist care, and audience service functions of the organization. She has recently accepted the position of Associate Artistic Director at Pittsburgh Public Theater and will be moving to Pittsburgh this summer. She graduated from the Yale School of Drama with an M.F.A. in Theater Management, where she also served as Artistic Director of Yale Cabaret's 54th season. While on fellowship with Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., Sarah organized the theater’s strategic planning process with the board and founded Woolly’s first ever accessibility committee. Prior to Yale, they were the Operations Manager for the Virginia Film Festival and produced large events for University of Virginia Arts, including the University’s Bicentennial Launch Celebration, the National Geographic on Campus Festival, and the President’s Speaker for the Arts Series. Other theater credits include Yale Repertory Theatre, Live Arts, Virginia Theatre Festival, No Rules Theater Company, and UVA Drama. She currently serves on the League of Resident Theater’s (LORT) Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee. She enjoys gardening, hiking, reading fantasy books, watching British crime dramas, and spending time with her cat, Trout.
