Fat Tuesday Fête at Live Arts is only $15 for fun, food, drinks, dancing, king cake, micro-float parade, the crowning of queen and king, and… if you need it, a safe ride home!

Mardi Gras Revelers, save the date for Tuesday, March 5, 7-midnight! Pull out your purple, green, and gold! Charlottesville finally has a place to celebrate Mardi Gras! We’ll carouse with costumes, dinner, drinks, dancing, a micro-float parade, coronation of the Queen and King, and of course, a King Cake (we hope your slice has a prize)!

The reveler with the best mask will take home a prize. Join us at Live Arts on Saturday, February 23, 10 am – 4 pm or Sunday, March 3, 4 – 7 pm to make a mask, or buy/make your own at home.

Live Music

Kip McCharen leads a Mardi Gras jazz ensemble, and after the crowing of the Queen & King, our DJ will kick it up into a full-on dance party!


Of course, there will be dancing!  Of course.

Food and Drink

Delicious jambalaya, rice & beans, family-style dining and cool, fresh lemonade.
