Our facilities are part of the City Center for Contemporary Arts. This ambitious privately-funded project was more than five years in the making, and is changing the face of the arts in Downtown Charlottesville. Located at 123 East Water Street, the new home of Live Arts also houses Second Street Gallery and Lighthouse.
Live Arts Spaces are available for rent for many special events, including:

Live Arts facilities include these resources:
- A kitchen with a full stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and 12′ of counter space. This is included for free as part of your rental.
- Folding tables of various sizes and shapes, as well as chairs. These are included in the rental cost, too.

When serving food or beverages, a $50 cleaning deposit is required. Live Arts assumes no responsibility for alcohol consumption at private events. Lessee and Catering guidelines are available upon request. A House Manager is required for all space rentals at $15 per hour.

The DownStage is a soaring space featuring tech grid, a balcony, flexible seating and staging.
- Holds up to 200 people standing or sitting

- $150 per hour for Live Arts Members or Non-Profit Use
UpStage [Click for Floorplan]
The UpStage hosts its own ambitious series of smaller works throughout the year, and is also a regular home for Alternative and Fringe performances, as well as youth productions.
